Product Marketing Manager duties and responsibilities
Reports to: Head of Marketing (located in Canada)
Dotted line: Managing Director, India Operations
Collaborates Closely with: Product Management Team, Sales
General Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with the Head of Marketing, Product Management team and Sales team members, contributes to:
- Definition of target personas, product use cases, product messaging and differentiators
- Competitive intelligence, competitor comparisons and sales battlecards
- Development of sales tools including presentations and product collateral
- Communicating the value of new products and services to the sales and marketing team
- Participating on sales calls when appropriate to provide deeper dives into the product, including use of the 4CRisk Business Value Calculators
- Works within the approved Marketing annual plan and budget
Specific Responsibilities
- Events - Complete and execute event plans for 3-4 events and 4-6 webinars annually
- Spokesperson – Along with other members of the team, speak and present both internally and externally to promote the story of our products in events as required
- Competitive Research – Conduct market and competitive research to develop comparisons and battlecards for competitive products, for use with customers and partners, as well as input to product pricing
- Product Launches, PRs and Key Announcements: Develop and implement promotional activities including social media copy, posts and email campaigns
- Product Marketing Content - Create product content such as customer case studies, videos, website copy; contribute to and edit blog posts and whitepapers written by our experts
- Business Value and ROI – Participate in the Business Value and ROI calculator Customer Focus Group Measure and optimize the buyer journey as it relates to product feature adoption and usage
Product Marketing Manager requirements and qualifications
- Previous working experience as a Product Marketing Manager for [10] year(s)
- MA in Marketing, Communications, or similar relevant field
- Ability to work collaboratively with customers, product management, sales and other team members
- Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
- Creative thinker with a vision
- Attention to details
